I just received mine. how do I get that massive chunky steel piece off the spline to make it look like it does in the 2nd image. The spline is not uncovered. Confused. Did I buy the mistaken solution?
A: Take away the castle nut from the threaded portion of the shaft. The blade hub adapter should slide off the spline with a little persuasion. Then the spline and the threads will be uncovered.

what is the difference among the 250179 and the 250001? They search similar to me.
A: The total box is the very same, but the input shaft requirements vary among the two.
